The first results of the new law against domestic violence in the Czech republic
There is the new bill for protection against domestic violence since January 1, 2007 in the Czech republic. In first six months of the year there were 483 cases of the temporary banishment (from this number there were 5 women as perpetrators).
The main age group: 31 - 40 years.
The relationship between perpetrator and victim:
- married couples in 54 % of the cases;
- partners 22 %;
- trans-generation violence (adult child x parent) 16 %;
- divorced couples 4 %.
There are 15 intervention centres in the Czech republic. All of them have the same standards, trainings, they closely cooperate. Methodology of the risk assesment SARA is used by the police and all intervention centres.
